Terms of service
The terms that apply when using the MooBee website and buying from our online shop.
1. About MooBee
MooBee is a family-run skincare business based in Eaton Bray, Bedfordshire, United Kingdom. These terms explain how you can use our website and buy from our shop. Questions about an order or these terms can be sent to hello@moobee.co.uk.
Please read these terms before ordering and keep a copy for your records. Nothing here takes away your statutory rights as a consumer.
2. Using our shop
Our checkout and customer accounts are intended for adults aged 18 or over. Please provide accurate contact and delivery details, use a payment method you are authorised to use, and keep your account sign-in details secure.
Do not misuse the website, interfere with its security, impersonate another person or use offers and referrals fraudulently. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, without removing your rights relating to genuine purchases.
3. Our skincare products
Our products are cosmetics, not medicines. Information on this website is not medical advice and does not promise to diagnose, treat or cure a skin condition. If you are unsure whether a product is suitable for you, speak to a qualified healthcare professional.
Read the product label, ingredients and directions before use. Natural ingredients can still cause sensitivity or allergic reactions. Allergy warning: may contain nuts. Patch test before first use, avoid known allergens, and stop using a product if irritation occurs.
Photographs and screen colours may look slightly different from the product you receive. This does not affect your right to goods that are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.
4. Prices, payment and orders
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Applicable taxes and delivery charges are included in, or shown as part of, the total before you pay. Stripe processes checkout payments. Please check the products, quantities, delivery address and total before placing your order.
Products are subject to availability. Adding something to your basket does not reserve stock. Your purchase is confirmed when payment succeeds and we confirm your order. If we cannot fulfil an order, we will contact you and refund any payment for items we cannot supply.
We may update prices for future orders. If we discover a material pricing or description error affecting your order, we will contact you to agree how to proceed or arrange a refund rather than charge you extra without your agreement.
5. Delivery
We currently offer UK delivery. Standard delivery costs £3.99, with free delivery on qualifying orders of £30 or more. The delivery charge and final total shown at checkout apply to your order.
Any delivery estimate is an estimate unless we expressly agree a deadline. Unless a different delivery period has been agreed, goods must be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days. If there is a problem or delay, contact us so we can help; your legal cancellation rights still apply.
We remain responsible for the goods until they come into your physical possession, or that of someone you nominate to receive them, unless you arrange your own carrier independently.
6. Changing your mind and returns
For most online purchases, you can cancel without giving a reason by telling us within 14 days after receiving the goods. You then have another 14 days to send them back. Email hello@moobee.co.uk with your order details and a clear statement that you wish to cancel; contact us for return instructions.
The change-of-mind right does not apply to goods supplied sealed that are unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once that seal has been broken. This exception only applies where those conditions are met, and never removes your rights if a product is faulty or not as described.
For an eligible cancellation, we will refund the amount due, including the standard outward delivery charge when you cancel the whole order, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed. We will do this within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier. We may make a lawful deduction for handling beyond what is needed to establish the goods’ nature, characteristics and function.
7. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
Please contact us if your order arrives damaged, contains the wrong item or appears faulty. Include your order details and a description of the problem. Photos can help us investigate, but are not a condition of your statutory rights.
UK consumer law gives you remedies for goods that are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose. These can include a refund, repair or replacement, depending on the circumstances. The short-term right to reject faulty goods normally lasts 30 days from delivery. We cover reasonable return costs where goods are faulty or incorrectly supplied.
8. Offers and referrals
Any eligibility rules, expiry dates and other conditions displayed with a discount or referral offer apply to that offer. Rewards depend on the qualifying activity described in the programme; a visit or referral link alone does not guarantee a payment. Please do not create misleading referrals or use duplicate accounts to abuse an offer.
Changes to future promotions do not retrospectively remove valid consumer rights or rewards already earned under the applicable terms.
9. Website content and responsibility
The MooBee name, branding, photographs and website content belong to us or their respective owners. You may use the site for personal shopping, but must not reproduce its content commercially without permission. External links are provided for convenience and their operators are responsible for their own sites.
We take reasonable care with the shop but cannot promise uninterrupted access. We remain responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory consumer rights remain unchanged.
10. Changes, law and complaints
We may update these terms for future use of the website and future orders. The terms in force when you order apply to that purchase, unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. This does not remove mandatory protections available to you where you live, or your right as a consumer to bring proceedings in the courts of the UK country where you live.
If something is not right, email hello@moobee.co.uk with the details so we can try to resolve it.
