MooBee Skincare

Privacy policy

A straightforward guide to how MooBee handles personal information when you browse, order, create an account or contact us.

Who we are

MooBee is a family-run skincare business in Eaton Bray, Bedfordshire, United Kingdom. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you browse our shop, place an order, create an account or get in touch. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@moobee.co.uk.

What information we use

We use the details you give us, such as your name, email address, delivery details, account information and messages. When you order, we keep the products purchased, amounts paid, payment references and delivery status. Stripe handles payment details; our shop does not store your full card number. If you join our updates list, we record your email and sign-up details. If you use referrals or rewards, we keep referral visits, order attribution, rewards and payout records.

Why we use it

We use your information to process and deliver orders, manage accounts and rewards, answer questions and send service messages. These uses support our contract with you. We also keep records to meet legal and accounting obligations. Our legitimate interests include protecting the shop against misuse, resolving disputes and understanding which pages visitors use, while respecting your rights. Where we ask for consent, including for optional email updates, you can withdraw it by contacting us. You can ask us to stop marketing at any time; essential order and account messages are separate.

Who helps us run the shop

We use Stripe for payments, Clerk for account sign-in, Mailgun for email delivery, and hosting and storage services to run the website. Relevant order and address details are used for delivery. These services receive information needed for their role and may have their own privacy notices. We may also need to share records with professional advisers or authorities to meet legal obligations or deal with a dispute. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies, browser storage and visits

Your browser stores your basket, remembered sign-in details and referral information so these can be recognised on later visits. Referral tracking uses a random browser identifier; our server stores a hashed version to distinguish repeat visits. We also record page paths and visit times to understand website use. Our sign-in and payment providers may use cookies and similar technology for their services. You can manage cookies and clear site storage in your browser, although this can clear your basket, sign you out or remove referral attribution. Clearing browser storage does not delete records already held by us.

Keeping information and using overseas services

How long information is needed depends on its purpose: for example, handling an order or enquiry, managing an account, maintaining financial records or resolving a dispute. Closing an account does not automatically erase order, payment or referral records that still need to be retained. Contact us about deletion or the retention period for a particular record. Some service providers may process information outside the UK. UK data protection law requires appropriate protection for these transfers, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. You can contact us for details relevant to your information.

Your choices and rights

Under UK data protection law, depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, have it deleted, restrict its use, object to processing, or receive a portable copy. You can also withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful use. Email hello@moobee.co.uk to make a request. We may need to check your identity and will normally respond within one month; some requests have legal exceptions or may require more time.

Children and updates to this policy

Our shop and customer accounts are intended for adults, including adults buying products for their families. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact us. We may update this policy when the shop or our practices change and will show the latest revision date here.
